No Tox Life® CASA AGAVE® dish brushes are easy replacements for plastic dish brushes and sponges in the kitchen and home. With an uncoated wood handle and agave plant fiber bristles, it is ideal for general dish washing. Nonstick pan safe as these natural bristles get soft when wet. Longevity: Each brush can be used for 1-6 months. Cracking is normal and can be reduced by oiling the uncoated wood with mineral oil. Leave the brush in a dry spot after use to reduce cracking. The handle and bristles are biodegradable but contain metal staples, so if you do compost it you will need to fish out the metal staples later from your compost. We suggest burying it in a spot in the garden so it can break down, which will take some time. Sustainability: For the wood handle, we do not use the species Teak that is endangered. White Teakwood is a different species that is very fast-growing (similar to bamboo) and even considered a weed in some countries because it grows so fast. Why tallow?

Tallow is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K and closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum. This makes it deeply nourishing, highly compatible with all skin types, and supportive for dry, sensitive, and mature skin.
Will tallow clog my pores?

Tallow is generally non-comedogenic and well-tolerated because of its similarity to human skin oils. As with any product, we recommend patch testing if you have very acne-prone or reactive skin.
Are your products organic?

We infuse certain products with herbs to naturally enhance their skin-supportive properties. Rather than relying on synthetic actives, we use traditional oil infusions to gently extract beneficial plant compounds into nourishing oils.

This allows us to combine the nutrient density of grass-fed tallow with the supportive qualities of plant botanicals.
